Cooking good meals really adds a lot of enjoyment to otherwise drab camping experiences. Next time plan for a good dinner and breakfast. It does make a difference.

I'm not a good sleeper on the ground in a tent. I do it every summer on tour but when the opportunity arises, I more often than not spring for a cheap motel or Hostel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15652978.post-74731150278368338882015-01-19T19:35:15.861-05:002015-01-19T19:35:15.861-05:00...just sayin'... :)...just sayin'... :)Ponderohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16042079750126434523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15652978.post-24592834854810522872015-01-19T18:57:38.556-05:002015-01-19T18:57:38.556-05:00No comment, just Laughing!!!No comment, just Laughing!!!LvilleTexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16733840950451530910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15652978.post-60861707100337671622015-01-19T15:52:21.824-05:002015-01-19T15:52:21.824-05:00Pondero does pretty well for himself because he kn...Pondero does pretty well for himself because he knows that he is wimpy in cold weather. First, he tries to avoid sleeping in the 20s with his limited gear. Also, he's heard it said, and believes it, that sleeping bag ratings are about 15 degrees off. Finally, Pondero has learned that for hammocks, the 15 degree rule is really more than that unless other provisions have been taken for underside insulation. Friends and campfires are great, but sleeping warm makes those winter overnighters a lot more fun.Ponderohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16042079750126434523noreply@blogger.com
