Nuggets

• RBW forgot my phone order last weekend, but it shipped yesterday. I'm mostly amused. I called about some other things and ordered a couple bday items. I never received any confirmation, so when I emailed yesterday, they (Keven) apologized for the "delay" and I received the UPS confirmation today. Nothing intentional and the goods will just come after my bday instead of before.

• I also got an email today discussing potential work to be done on the Beargrass Trail in the coming days. A combo of MetroSewerDistrict and volunteers from a local high school are completing a wetlands project. The work may impact access on the east end of the trail. I'm on the trail a couple times a week as a means of a 1.2m escape. I hope it doesn't create too much of a problem, but I also laud their efforts to improve the surrounding habitat.

• We just got back from seeing the excellent group Chanticleer tonight, me, the good wife, and 3 church choir/UL choir members. they're a sight, or sound, to behold. 12 men filling all the vocal parts of serious a capella singing. One of our choir friends with us has basically all of their recordings. Before the show we went for a drink (and app) and then after the show we went to our fav Joe B's for pizza a bread sticks. It was a fabulous evening. I should give special credit to Transylvania Univ., our alma mater. The show was part of a new endowed series, so we not only got to visit our old choir stomping grounds, we also did it for free. What a night!
