I made up a word this morning, Funfortunate, although apparently it's not new because UrbanDictionary and Wordnik already have an entry for it. Too bad. In my case, yes, this latest batch of health news is unfortunate, but I'm going in a positive way with it. It's an opportunity to get my shit together. I'm not public enough to forecast my weight out there like so many others do in the blogosphere. Would it help if I did? Don't know, but I think I'll forecast it when I drop below the 200lb mark. That'll be reason to toot my own horn. This morning the scales show me down into another 10s category. Make sense? It's one I haven't seen for 3 years. All told, I'm now down 15lb from my absolute heaviest and down 9lb since I started recording my weight efforts. I'll take it.
Something else funfortunate? I woke up at 6.00 today on a day off. That blows! Why funfortunate? I'm going to put on the walking shoes, go vote and then go for a good walk. Making bad out of good. And then I can nap this afternoon!
Have a good Election Day. 'L' is really ready for it to be over so the election adds disappear. I'm dreading it b/c KY is probably going to vote a CRAZY PERSON into the Senate. What the fuck?!?!?!?

Enjoy the walk. It's a nice day, if a bit nippy.
As far as electing a CRAZY PERSON into the senate... that's different than every other election how? :)
Elections: Here are a couple of poor choices. Pick one.
Some day I hope to vote FOR someone I really like, rather than feeling forced to pick the lesser of two evils. But I did my duty this morning and voted anyway. May all the crazy people lose in a really big way! And congrats on your weight loss!
Sounds like you are off to a good start with the weight loss. Walking is good!
I sometimes find a candidate I actually LIKE, but usually they're an underdog with no real chance of winning.
Good job on the weight loss! I'm impressed.
I am hopeful that in most places, people will not vote for the crazies. If Kentucky does, well -- I'm afraid it adds to the list of things I'm embarrassed about for Kentucky's sake. (Not to say that my adopted hometown of sorts, Philly, doesn't have its share of public humiliations.)
I'm not planning on watching any election returns. They won't really mean anything until late, and I'll be in bed by then, and I can wake up at my usual time tomorrow (around 5) and find out the results. It's pretty much what I did about the whole baseball thing with the Phillies. Much less stressful.
Nice going on the healthy efforts. We'd like to you be around for a long time. We have things for you to do.
Chris, as someone who has fought depression in my life, I couldn't agree more in every way! thanks.
Concerning the political stuff, I'm done, mute, kaput. I'd much rather talk about bike rides. =)
